Jolanda began her career as a scientist and, over nearly four decades, evolved into an entrepreneur and business leader.
Dennis Lauchner and Dr. Jolanda Janczewski have been business partners since 1988, when they co-founded Consolidated Safety Services (CSS).
Over the decades that followed, they worked together to build CSS from its beginnings into an organization of hundreds of employees supporting complex scientific and technical missions across the federal government.
Their experience has included organizational growth, technological change, acquisitions, economic uncertainty, workforce development, employee ownership, and the everyday realities of building and leading a business.
That experience shapes their approach to AI today. They don't approach artificial intelligence simply as a new technology. Dennis Lauchner has spent his career solving problems, building organizations, making decisions, and leading people through change.
In 1988, Dennis co-founded Consolidated Safety Services (CSS), a science-driven government contracting company. Over the decades that followed, CSS grew into an organization of hundreds of employees supporting important federal missions across science, technology, health, safety, environmental research, Earth, oceans, and space.
Dennis has worked alongside scientists, researchers, technical professionals, government leaders, executives, and employees while navigating technological change, organizational growth, acquisitions, economic uncertainty, and the everyday realities of running a business.
He also helped guide CSS's transition to 100% employee ownership, reinforcing a leadership philosophy built around accountability, shared success, integrity, continuous learning, and developing people.
Dennis is also a U.S. Navy veteran.

Dr. Jolanda Janczewski began her career as a scientist and, over nearly four decades, evolved into an entrepreneur and business leader.
With a B.S. and M.P.H. in Biohazard Sciences and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health & Public Policy, Jolanda brought a scientist's curiosity, discipline, and analytical approach to Consolidated Safety Services (CSS), the company she co-founded in 1988 with her longtime business partner, Dennis Lauchner.
Over the nearly four decades that followed, Jolanda and Dennis worked together to build CSS from its beginnings into an organization of hundreds of employees supporting complex scientific and technical missions across the federal government. Along the way, she learned firsthand what it takes to build an organization, adapt to changing technologies and markets, and lead people through new ways of working.
Today, Jolanda brings that same practical perspective to AI-CAPABLE. She approaches artificial intelligence much as she has approached other challenges throughout her career: with curiosity, experimentation, disciplined thinking, and a focus on results.
Her interest isn't in becoming an AI technologist. It's in helping business leaders understand what AI can do, learn to use it confidently, and put it to work in practical ways that make their organizations better—while keeping human experience, judgment, and accountability firmly in charge.
